  Five star all the way. What a location. Unobstructed ocean view. Spotlessly clean, nicely decorated (including Elton Bennett prints)and includes everything one needs for a great vacation. Good comfortable beds and well equiped kitchen. Watched whales all day from the huge deck. Fire in the fireplace every evening and wine on the deck in the afternoons. Worth every penny. Will be back for another week in July.

It was nice speaking with you Allan, and we're so glad you enjoyed your stay at Bears Head and plan to return for 8 nights in July. After our conversation about the coffee maker turning off right afterthe coffee is brewed, I e-mailed the Owners about purchasing a thermal carafe to keep the coffee hot, and they agreed it would be a good idea. Thank you for bringing that to our attention. I've added it to my shopping list. On behalf of my housekeeping staff, we'd like to thank you and your family for leaving the "Bears Head" so nice upon departure the other day. The house was very well furnished, including furniture, bedding, bath and kitchen linens, even dishes and cooking utensils. Every room of the house was the cleanest I have ever seen in vacation rentals of any kind, right down to the bathrom shower tiles. The property management personnel were a joy to deal with, with every arrangement efficiently and professionally handled. We definitely intend to return at our earliest opportunity!

  When my youngest announced her plans to marry, her first request was that we perform the service at the Cove Beach home we had all come to love so.
  
  I picked up the phone and called. Once the staff heard what was planned, they walked me through the flowers, booking of the home, where to purchase cake, and the honeymoon cottage was even arranged for. I cannot thank nor ever emphasize enough how wonderful these ladies are, how caring and how professional.
  
  Deb, thank you for all you do to ensure a memorable stay, each and every time. You are the epitome of customer service.
  
  I use Arch Cape Property Services because every one of their houses is always very clean, well maintained, suitably furnished and no detail left to chance. If you have a problem or question, one phone call takes care of it. Arch Cape Property Service represents the epitome of customer service.
  
  Bears Head is absolutely the quintessential family beach front vacation home. The relentless sea roars steps from the back deck and is so relaxing to watch through the wall of double pained insulated windows that look over the ocean. All amenities are offered within this single level easily accessible home featuring the most wonderful great room for cooking, dining and just sitting by the fire to take in all of the beachside ambiance.
  
  The wedding was amazingly beautiful, not a dry eye in the house, and the joy experienced will be remembered by all for the remainder of our lives. Of all of the gifts I could have given my baby girl on her wedding day, this home, this time, this memory indeed was the finest treasure imaginable.

  We had a wonderful time and loved the location. The only thing I would comment on is that the pots and pans were suboptimal and minimal in number - we had a difficult time cooking due to this. We ended up using large plates as covers for the pans. We also didn't use most of the pans due to the scratched teflon which is carcinogenic. The place would be 5 star if it had a nice set of pots and pans that were not teflon. The only other suggestion I'd make is the one bedroom does not have a closet available (it's locked). Since we were there for 7 days it was difficult to live out of a suitcase and keep the clothes straight.
  All in all we had a marvelous time and would definitely rent the Bears Head again. (I'll bring my own pots and pans if they haven't been replaced by the time we come back ! :) Thanks for having such a wonderful place available to rent.

  This house is fabulous! As grandparents we esp. enjoyed the "mother-in-law suite" part. Everything was in good shape, very comfortable. Only negative = firepit was filled with water and unable to be used...we'd have liked to do s'mores there with our grandchildren.

  We spent two nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The view is astounding! There were six of us and we had the perfect amount of privacy along with enough room to all gather and cook and eat and even have a little dance party (the iPod adapter was put to good use!). Having 3 bathrooms was extra nice too.

We certainly do our best to describe every home adequately to our potential guests. Perhaps you had not read the full description on our website for Bears Head, of the seperate entrance to the "Studio" which serves as the 3rd bedroom? We do hope you'll return again and next time I'd recommend that your group rent the Schillings Beach House, which is a 4 bedroom home on the Ocean Front in Arch Cape. It's all on one level and has direct beach steps along side the house to the beach, as well as 5 recliner chairs in the living room, which I'm sure your ladies retreat would enjoy.   We were blown away when we first entered this home. Gorgeous! Our good friends from Central California joined us for a four day respite from the daily grind - we were all very comfortable and pretty much had everything we could have possibly needed. The view was spectacular. We hated to leave on the last morning - we all would have loved a little more time there.
  
  The only complaint we could have is there was a lot of hair left from a previous guest in the master bath (only on the floor). But it was not a big deal - we found a vacuum and took care of it. Seriously, that is the only thing I could possibly point out as any kind of negative - very minor.
  
  We will absolutely return to Bear's Head at the next opportunity!

  Enjoyed our stay at the beautiful Bear's Head very much. Only negative was the lack of outdoor furniture. The 2 Adirondack chairs and 1 other chair was insufficient for us 3--especially since older folks had a difficult time with the wood chairs. Also, washer spin cycle does not work properly and the toilet flusher in main bathroom problematic.

  This is a great beach house and we had a lot of fun here. I wish I had known that the third bedroom is actually an "in-law" unit with a separate entrance than the main house. Even though it's all connected and under one roof, it was tricky with little kids. Would be perfect for teenagers or grandparents or a small family traveling together. Beach is very large rocks with little to no sand depending on the tides.

  Our family stayed at Bear's Head for almost a week in late June. The location and view's were stunning! The house itself was great for our small children and for entertaining some friends who came down from Seattle to join us. It is just far enough from Cannon Beach to feel secluded and close enough to make it convenient.

  Bear head is located on secluded cove beach. Although the beach is rocky and is not really great for does make a wonderful noise as the cobbles are rearranged by the waves.

  A fabulous kitchen/great room that became the center of our stay provided a warm and comfortable ambiance. Cooking, watching the surf and sitting before the warming fire became our pass times. Gentle classical music filtered through the air from a wonderful stereo that truly added to this positive experience. In fact, this could become a habit if I am not careful…
  
  I want to thank you Debbie and Betty for your wonderful help and kind assistance. Your personable and caring attitudes are the primary reason I return to Arch Cape Property Services year after year.   We had a lovely, relaxing time at Bear's Head. The home has an expansive open living/dining/kitchen area with spectacular views of the wild winter ocean. Erosion on tne beachfront may threaten the property in 10 years or so, so head down there asap for a relaxing retreat with spectacular views.

  The pictures do not do this house justice. It is right on a cliff above the water! Amazing views, great access to local area & best of all, my T-Mobile did not work there at all!
