  I cannot tell you how awesome this cottage was. We had everything we needed and all the space in the world to get away from everyone else in the house if we needed. The staff at Arch Cape Rentals was fantastic and Deb was a gem. We were there for one week
  and it wasn't long enough. We can't wait to come back and stay at the Shutterbug Cottage again. Thank you for an awesome, clean, affordable and memorable stay. It was perfect - no complaints!

  Easy walk, 1 block to beach. Very clean. Property manager very helpful with any needs/questions we had. Seemed like more traffic noise this year than last from Hwy 101.

  The Arch Cape Properties staff helped us choose three houses for a family reunion, and we all had a great experience. The only drawback with Shutterbug is traffic noise from Hwy. 101 which is adjacent to the house.

  We loved this home and the space that it had. Gave us a chance to spread out so that we can start relaxing. Close to all the stuff and not a lot on the price. Driveway is tricky to get into but will not stop us from returning.

  My mom, two sons, and I stayed at Shutterbug Cottage for four days over spring break. The cottage layout was the best we have had of our many trips to the coast. Very large kitchen outfitted with plenty of dishes and cookware. Spacious bedrooms for everyone. The adults were happy to have separate bedrooms and bathrooms. The boys were giddy over their upstairs bedroom and playroom. At night, we enjoyed watching movies. Thanks to the separate TVs, everyone got to watch what he/she wanted. In the morning, my mom appreciated being able to watch the Today Show in her bedroom while my boys watched Disney Jr. in the family room. During the rest of the day, we played at the beach, toured local towns, and played board games together. We LOVED coming home to Shutterbug Cottage at the end of our adventures. We were oblivious to the traffic on 101. Great, great times!

  We had a last minute need for a vacation house rental at Christmas-time to join family who had rented a different house in Arch Cape and extra space was needed (we had some little ones with us who loved the house and the children’s touch). Debbie and Jeanie were so wonderful in helping us find the Shutterbug. It was immaculate and perfectly stocked. We made warm fires every night and enjoyed spending quiet time with family. This rental was much better than the VRBO rental our other family members used which was run down and poorly stocked. It is obvious that the Shutterbug is well cared for and loved as the appliances were up-to-date and the whole environment inviting. We had some difficulty heating the upstairs space but nonetheless slept well. The location was fine for us as we had no need to be right on the beach (it’s a 2 minute walk to Sally’s Alley beach steps) and liked being across from St. Peter’s for Christmas mass! It is right on the highway (a fence and privacy shrubbery in between) but it rained every day and we did not spend lots of time outside and had the windows closed so the limited winter traffic was not too noticeable at night (winter traffic is much lighter than summer). I recommend the Shutterbug and using Arch Cape Rentals as they are accessible, professional, kind, and take great care and concern to make sure everything is in order.     Dear Kate, Thank you for your kind review. We're so glad you and your family enjoyed the Shutterbug Cottage. I had some friends who rented it for a few nights in October for an extended family gathering and I had the privilege of joining them for dinner one evening. The ambience with the fireplace fire blazing and all of us gathering around between the open kitchen & living room space created such a nice visiting space for everyone. The kids loved playing watching a video and romping around in the family room upstairs while the adults visited downstairs. We even got a few rounds of ping pong going in the garage which the "competitive" guys enjoyed! We appreciate you and your family leaving the home in such nice condition for our housekeepers to clean and certainly hope you'll come again in the future. Happy New Year! Debbie

  Shutterbug Cottage is a great place to get away with friends and family. It has plenty of space, dishes,etc. for ten, though you have to be careful with the hot water if you all want to shower. There is no pancake griddle in the kitchen, so if you want pancakes, better bring your own. Also, the towels and bedlinens are well worn - it would be great if this was updated in the future. An amazing beach is close by, and you can enjoy views of the ocean from many rooms.

  We have vacationed at the Oregon Coast every summer for the last 20 years. This house was the best value we have ever found. It easily accommodated 6 teenagers and 4 adults. The upstairs rooms and ping pong areas worked well for the kids. Very clean, plenty of dishes. Easy access to beach. Wifi worked great. It is close to the highway, so some traffic noise, but it didn’t bother us. We love the Arch Cape Beach, and enjoy the long walks at low tide.

  The layout of this house is great for one large, or 2 small families. Separate loft bedroom and TV/Game room upstairs is great for the kids. Views from the kitchen, dining room and living room are amazing. Kids loved playing ping pong! Nice, short walk to the beach. Kitchen layout was great for big family dinners and board games at the table. Loved having a washing machine and dryer available to use.
